Plan a Visit

First of all, Welcome! Let’s be honest, it’s intimidating to try out a new
church, but having an idea of what to expect can help. We promise we
won’t embarrass you, call you out, or make you feel like anything less
than a friend. Our commitment to you is to create a safe place where you
can feel open to hearing the Word of God.

Here are some FAQs as you plan your first visit.

Where do you meet?

We currently meet at 2515 Pope Road (Mt. Carmel Baptist Church) in
Douglasville GA on Sunday afternoons at 2pm .

What about my kids?

At Larger Than Life, we love kids, and view ourselves as partners with the
family in seeing children becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus.
Your kids are certainly welcome, and will be well taken care of. They are
welcome to join you in service or they can partake in Children's Ministry.

What should I wear?

Honestly, clothes should be sufficient. Wear whatever makes you
comfortable. There is no “dress code”; just be yourself.

How long does it last?

We are a Spirit lead ministry of order.  Our services normally last about
90-120 minutes give or take.

What happens during a typical service?

When you walk up to the front door, someone will greet you and point you
in the right direction. You can check your kids in and then make yourself
comfortable inside.

We start with prayer and meditation prior to the service. We then enter
into a period of Praise and Worship followed by the ministering of God's
Word. After the message, we extend an invitation for Salvation, offer the
opportunity to worship God through our giving and close with a song.

The History of Our Church
Larger Than Life Christian Ministries began as a vision from God
through our Senior Pastor,
Delbert R. Watkins in the fall of 2003 with
Bible Study Services being held at a local hotel.  Billed as “Super
Tuesday” Bible Study since the 1st service was held the week after the
fall elections, the name stuck because of the dynamic word that went
forth.  On the 3rd Sunday evening in March of 2004, we held our pre-
launch service at the Douglasville Downtown Conference Center.  This
was the start of our Sunday Night Live Services and activities which
were held monthly.  Three weeks after our pre-launch service, our 1st
official Sunday Morning Worship Service was held on the 1st Sunday of
April, 2004, at the Douglasville Downtown Conference Center.  We
continued to worship at the Conference Center for 2 years.  During this
time, numerous ministries were born including Women of Virtue, Fisher’
s of Men, Ambassadors 4 Life Youth Ministry and our Worship & Arts
Ministry.  Over these 1st two years, we had many events & activities that
helped reshape ministry in the Douglasville area.  We hosted such
events as our Annual Fall Festival, Church in the Park, the Super Bowl
Bash and our Annual Women’s Breakthrough Conference.  In addition
we presented a Christmas play and a Fall Art Showing.  All of these
things were done, by God’s Grace, while still in our temporary home at
the DDCC.  In April of 2006, we relocated to 8019 Durelee Lane.  As a
result, new and expanded ministries have continued to spring forth to
meet the needs of our Parishioners.  Through our visionary Senior
Pastor, God has established us as the International House of H.O.P.E.
where we are “Helping Our People Excel One Soul at a Time.”
LTLCM is under the Covenant Covering of  the Mantle Covenant
International Fellowship of Churches.
